Principles of Occupational Health

On completion of this module, you are expected to be able to:

• Discuss the principles, theories and history of Occupational Health and public health
• Analyse the role of the contemporary Occupational Health practitioner

• Examine policy and legislation as a source of evidence in relation to Occupational Health
• Apply the principles of health needs assessment
• Explore the professional and ethical dimensions of Occupational Health practice

Learning Methods

This module is delivered through online methods including online chat, virtual classroom and discussion forums. You will engage with directed and self-directed learning activities supported by the module team.

Assessment

This course is assessed through written assignment.

Academic Support

• Information technology support

Library Support

The Library offers support for your course, including the books, eBooks, and journals you will need. We also offer online reading lists for many modules, workshops and drop-ins on searching skills and referencing, and much more.

On successful completion, credits can be used within RGUflex to gain academic award:
