Learning Methods
The BA (Hons) Digital Marketing for Business is delivered entirely via online learning, specifically catering to working professionals, career changers, and those progressing from college or vocational qualifications.
The primary teaching and learning strategy for the BA (Hons) Digital Marketing for Business is practice-based, vocationally focused, and student-centred. The course is delivered fully online with RGU’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Moodle, incorporating a blend of engaging, interactive, and industry-informed activities. Methods typically include recorded lectures and blended learning materials for flexible access; live online tutorials and discussion forums; workshops, case studies, asynchronous group exercises, and live client projects. Practitioner-led sessions and guest lectures ensure content reflects current trends, tools, and strategies. Students take increasing responsibility for their own learning, supported by continuous dialogue and formative feedback. The flexible design allows you to fit study around work commitments.
How long is a BA (Hons) Digital Marketing for Business course?
The full-time course duration is up to 3 years for a September intake. The program is structured around a four-block modular approach (one module at a time), offering maximum flexibility to fit around existing work commitments.
The entire learning experience is work-integrated, meaning practical assignments and assessments draw directly on the student’s own workplace or an applicable industry case-study. The Honours stage (formally Stage 3 modules, typically in the fourth year) culminates in the 60-credit Capstone Project, a substantial work-integrated research study focused on a real business challenge.
February Intake and Accelerated Options
The option to start the course in February is available only to students eligible to enter the course at Stage 2 (Year 3). For these students, it takes one year to complete the Bachelor's degree (BA Digital Marketing for Business). Students who choose to continue to the Honours year will have a few months break prior to re-commencing studies in September, making the full course duration approximately 2 years 6 months. Advanced entry through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is strongly encouraged for professionals and HNC/HND holders, providing a rapid route to achieving a full Honours degree alongside work.
