Upskill with our fully funded short courses

Upskill with our online short courses

Undertaking an online upskilling course can help you to develop or change your career or support your business to grow.

In partnership with the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) and Scottish Government, our online upskilling short courses have been developed in response to feedback from businesses regarding their people and skills needs and are therefore helpful for individuals considering their employment options as well as organisations looking to upskill their employees.

In 2021/22 RGU will be launching a suite of over 20 courses in areas including leadership and management, digital and data, health and social care, and energy.

The funded places are available to applicants who are Scottish-domiciled. Applicants should also not currently be receiving SAAS funding. If you are not eligible or unsuccessful in securing a free place, you can still undertake the course by self-funding.

All RGU’s upskilling short courses are currently available at a significantly reduced fee of £350 (approx. 25% of the standard university price) in recognition of the challenges that everyone is currently facing. Unfortunately, these courses are not valid for any further discount.

Current Courses

The courses are 15 credit modules which equates to 150 hours of teaching, self-study and assessment spread over 8 - 12 weeks. They are delivered online to fit in around your working and home life and provide you with a flexible option of professional development to upskill and build upon your expertise. You can also gain credits to help build towards a postgraduate qualification. Successful completion of all four of our Health Sciences short courses could result in you earning a fully funded Postgraduate Certificate.
