COVID-19: ADVICE FOR STaff, STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY
Upskill with our fully funded short courses

Upskill with our online short courses

We have developed a suite of online short courses focused on supporting you to upskill in key areas, no matter what your sector. These courses have been launched to support the skills needs of individuals and workforces as they deal with the economic challenges of COVID-19.

Our online short courses cover a range of subjects focussing on strengthening businesses and providing you with skills development opportunities in response to the current climate.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on the economy, RGU in partnership with the Scottish Funding Council, launched a portfolio of free online, credit-bearing short courses at the start of lock-down to support individuals and businesses. The response was incredible and despite us increasing the number of places available per course by 300%, within a week that number was also exceeded. Recognising this significant demand, RGU is now offering these courses at a reduced fee of £350, which is approximately 25% of the standard university price.  More courses in different topics will be added in the coming months.

Courses

The courses are 15 credit modules which equates to 150 hours of teaching, self-study and assessment spread over 8 - 10 weeks. They are delivered online to fit in around your working and home life and provide you with a flexible option of professional development to upskill and build upon your expertise.
