Upskill with our fully funded short courses

Upskill with our online short courses

Our online short courses are focused on strengthening businesses and providing you with skills development opportunities.

In partnership with the Scottish Funding Council (SFC), our online upskilling short courses have been developed in response to feedback from businesses regarding their people and skills needs and are therefore helpful for individuals considering their employment options as well as organisations looking to upskill their employees.

Two new courses (Commercial Contracting and Information Security Management) have recently been added to our portfolio and both courses have a limited number of free places. The funded places, which this time are supported through the Scottish Government’s National Transition Training Fund, are available to applicants who are Scottish-domiciled,  over the age of 25, currently unemployed or where their job is at threat as a result of COVID-19. Applicants should also not currently be receiving SAAS funding. If you are not eligible or unsuccessful in securing a free place, you can still undertake the course by self-funding.

All RGU’s upskilling short courses are currently available at a significantly reduced fee of £350 (approx. 25% of the standard university price) in recognition of the challenges that everyone is facing at this time. Unfortunately, these courses are not valid for any further discount.

The Commercial Contracting course is now open for applications and information on the Information Security Management course will be available soon.

More courses in different topics will be added in the coming months.

The courses are 15 credit modules which equates to 150 hours of teaching, self-study and assessment spread over 8 - 12 weeks. They are delivered online to fit in around your working and home life and provide you with a flexible option of professional development to upskill and build upon your expertise.
