Application Process
Applications for undergraduate courses are made through UCAS. The application cycle opens in September each year, for admission to study the following September. Applications are encouraged to be submitted by January of the year intended study will begin, however the cycle remains open until the end of June each year. After that, applications can be submitted through “Clearing” the final point of the application cycle that allows new applications to be submitted once your child/dependant receives their exam results in August.
Support
At RGU, we understand that every student’s journey is different and we are committed to ensuring that support is available when it is needed. This is reflected in us being ranked 2nd in Scotland for personal tutors (Student Crowd 2022) thanks to our efforts in supporting students as they transition to university, access support services and help them thrive beyond course work.
Student finance
A student's tuition fee status and the level of tuition fee that is paid is determined by nationality, the country in which a student is ‘ordinarily resident’ and other relevant criteria.
Life at RGU
Boasting plentiful social and cultural activities, Aberdeen offers RGU students a wonderful study, work and leisure environment. On campus, our students can take full advantage of first-class facilities as well as beautiful green open spaces.
Accommodation
Leaving home for the first time can be one of the most exciting things about going to university, but we know you might need some reassurance that your loved one will be safe and supported. We provide accommodation for 900 students at 5 different purpose-built developments situated in the city centre and around campus, as well as working closely with student accommodation providers in the private sector. Students staying in RGU accommodation will have access to 24/7 welfare support from the RGU ResLife team.
Cost of living
We understand that ensuring your loved one can afford to live comfortably while at university is a huge factor in making decisions about where to study.
