Measuring and reporting climate-related financial risk
Research Opportunities
Summary
Physical risk refers to the economic costs and losses arising from climate-related physical events such as droughts, flooding, landslides, wildfire. Transition risks are risks associated with the adjustment towards a low-carbon economy such as risks associated with regulatory changes, technology advancement, and changes in customers’ and investors’ sentiments. We are interested in investigating whether and how the corporate sector measures and reports climate-related financial risks. We are also interested in measuring the costs, challenges, opportunities, and benefits of measuring and reporting climate-related financial risks.
