A social entrepreneur based in Aberdeenshire who leads Scotland’s largest men's health charity has been awarded an Honorary Degree from Robert Gordon University (RGU).

Dr Bouziane Kies, who helped secure large numbers of international staff for Algerian Universities after the departure of French teachers in 1972 and thereby helped to keep Algeria’s universities open, has received an honorary degree from Robert Gordon University (RGU). Dr Kies has also championed RGU in Algeria for the last twenty years.

Robert Gordon University (RGU) is proud to announce that Dr Jo-Anne Tait, Principal Lecturer, Digital Living and Design in the School of Computing, Engineering and Technology, has been named one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering (WE50) by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES).
RGU won the Imaginative Educator Awards’ team category for planning and delivering multiple programmes during the pandemic which prepare students for the future needs of industry and the economy by developing their entrepreneurial skills, knowledge and mindsets.
