Our custom-built Wave Tank is often described as a ‘slice of ocean’ and is used for wave interaction energy studies.
The tank has a water depth of 1600mm, 500mm wide, with waves extending 1300mm to the beach end.
The wave software installed allows you to program the amplitude and frequency of the wave, either repeatable or variable.
The facility provides support for research on innovative wave power technology.
