Engineering Facilities
The Electrical Power Laboratory is located in the Sir Ian Wood Building and is for teaching Electronic Engineering and research.
The lab contains a suite of Feedback supplied systems. Teaching is based around AC induction machines, DC machines and respective drives as well as transformers. Students will discover the complexities of drive systems as well as practical applications of machines and drives.
This specialist lab also contains 6 PCs for the use of teaching during the power labs and research.
There is also research conducted on industrial bearing fatigue analysis.
