About the project
RGU Sustainable Futures ran in 2023, aiming to rural businesses of all sizes learn to adapt to a changing and frequently challenging economic landscape. The programme was funded by Aberdeenshire council, LACER funding.
A programme of interactive events was made available to both businesses and individuals, with a particular focus on supporting small Aberdeenshire businesses to become more sustainable and efficient by considering three themes: People, profit, and the planet.
The project hosted a total of 15 events and workshops both online and at local library hubs including, Banff, MacDuff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banchory throughout 2023. A free sustainability guide was also produced and is still available for download.
