What’s the secret to building a successful start-up? Time, money, passion – the list goes on. We catch up with a juicing entrepreneur to learn what ingredients are in the blend of their growing brand.

Last year, we caught up with International Hospitality Management graduate (Class of 2012), who went on to start up Aberdeen’s cold press juice company, The Juicing Co.

Starting as a local side-hustle, her brand quickly grew and built a loyal customer base. Vanessa’s range of natural juices and tonic shots are dispatched nationwide and have been the fuel to some of the biggest shows on ITV. The Juicing Co. has supplied drinks to Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Dancing on Ice and, most recently, The Voice UK.

And the good news doesn’t stop there, Vanessa is set to open her first ever Juicery in the coming months at The Boxes at Chapelton – a community of storage containers offering affordable and business units for growing brands.

Opening the premises is a huge milestone in the brand’s journey and we’re in no doubt that things are set to get bigger. But who inspires her to keep pushing her efforts forward?

She shared: “Two women who completely inspire me - make me strive to do the best I can for my health, for my family and for our community - is Karin Reiter and Karine Gauthier. These two women changed the course of my life when they introduced me to the world of health and wellness back in 2014.

“Without Karin and Karine, I would not have The Juicing Co. or have found my passion in helping others to feel their absolute best.”
