About Ethical Giving

Donors and prospective donors can expect to be treated with honesty and transparency at all times.

Donor rights

Donors can expect to receive appropriate and timely acknowledgement for their gifts, and to be kept informed of the impact of their philanthropy. They can be assured that all gifts will be applied for the purpose they were originally given. All information concerning donations will be handled with respect and confidentiality, to the extent provided by law.

Gift Acceptance Policy

Robert Gordon University is a registered charity. We aim to encourage philanthropy from individuals, trusts and foundations and corporate bodies to support and enhance the learning, teaching and research at RGU.

We seeks to accept gifts in accordance with CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) guidelines:

RGU has in place a due diligence procedure for gift acceptance. A detailed gift acceptance policy is available by request.
