The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025: Get ready, get excited, get involved!

The Tall Ships Races returns to Aberdeen this summer for the first time in almost 30 years from 19 to 22 July.

Billed as Europe’s largest free family event, there is fun for all ages, with 50 Tall Ships from across the globe, headline Quaysides Concerts, cultural entertainment, late night bars, street food and much more.

Local maker Laura Sherriffs was today (Monday 24 March) awarded a £5,000 prize for her outstanding work in the Tall Ships Aberdeen 2025 Makers Programme, which showcases a wave of creativity sparked by the Tall Ships’ return to Aberdeen.

RGU Alumni have already been involved in the Tall Ships ahead of the event with Laura Sherriffs, April Hay, Lindsay Johnston, Gabrielle Reith and Anne Marquiss all taking part in their Makers Programme, with Laura being awarded a £5,000 prize for her work.
