MSc Specialist Business Masters

The MSc Specialist Business Masters is a suite of courses which allow you to specialise in your chosen field and enhance your future career aspirations.

Aberdeen Business School was named Business School of the Year 2020 (Times Higher Education 2020 Awards) in recognition of our work-based learning, teaching and the innovative approaches of our staff, to ensure we provide all our students with an outstanding business education and produce top quality industry-ready graduates.

Our three Specialist Business Master’s degrees will provide you with the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and skills in your chosen area of study including human resource management, procurement and supply chain management and project management.

Our courses are accredited by relevant professional bodies including the CIPD, CIPS, APM and PMI. Studying an accredited course means our degrees are aligned to core industry standards, knowledge and behaviours. When studying MSc Human Resource Management, MSc Project Management or MSc Procurement and Supply Chain Management you will have access to relevant professional body student or affiliate memberships, giving you the chance to network, access the latest practitioner studies and thought leadership in the subject discipline and even advance your career progression opportunities. Students who successfully attain sufficient academic credits may also apply for professional qualifications from relevant professional bodies.

If you are looking to enhance your professional performance or progress your career, our Master’s degrees follow a contemporary and broad-based curriculum, allowing you to transition successfully into a challenging managerial career. The flexible learning structure of our courses has been designed to ensure that study fits around your needs.

Our courses are designed to support your employability and we even offer an extended Master’s route on our full-time September on-campus courses, giving you the opportunity to undertake a 12-month work placement. In fact RGU is the 1st in Scotland and 2nd in the UK in the Graduate Employment Rate measure (QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022).

Extended Master’s

On our full-time on campus courses, starting in September, you will have the opportunity to extend your period of study with the option of a 48 week work placement. Evidence suggests that graduates who can demonstrate relevant work experience have a better chance of securing a graduate level job. Building on your academic knowledge you will develop excellent transferable skills, have the opportunity to develop your business networks, have access to future referees and build your self-confidence. The placement experience is also an excellent testing ground for future career choices.
