Hemp could be a key to #netcarbonzero in Scotland’s agronomic industries providing carbon sequestration, contributing to a greater biodiversity, land recovery and remediation.

Summary
Hemp products include food, textiles, papers, construction materials, biofuels, and graphene substitutes.
The challenge is to co-design a different value chain model working with agriculture, processing, production and consumption to maximise the multidimensional benefits.
This is a design innovation challenge positioned between Gray’s and the Rowett, Scottish Hemp Group of farmers and researchers, and Applied Arts Scotland and other producer groups.
