Young caregivers (YCs) contribute towards the health and wellbeing of a dependent family member. The role can place burdens upon the YCs that can result in negative outcomes such as stress, anxiety and social isolation.

Summary

Tabletop Role Playing Games (TTRPGs) have been shown to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of many diverse populations and may be beneficial for YCs. Various wellbeing assessments will be conducted prior and post involvement with a structured TTRPG designed to include problem solving, teamwork and moral dilemmas. Improvement in the psychological wellbeing of the YCs would demonstrate the potential of this type of intervention.
