Summary
There is a need to develop appropriate models to effectively use this information to enhance exercise prescription and identify whether training requires adjustment to reduce injury risk. Rather than build models naively, Bayesian approaches that make use of information obtained from previous research or coaches' subjective impressions may provide an effective alternative.
The purpose of this project will be to develop approaches to elicit priors and incorporate them into models currently used in the monitoring and training prescription of athletes.
