Why did you choose RGU?

When I was applying for pharmacy in 2013, RGU came up joint first as the best university for pharmacy in the UK. I also looked up the university and found that RGU has a fantastic graduate employability rate. 

Why did you choose the course you are studying?

RGU has world class teaching and learning facilities which are in place to support any student who really wants to be successful. The ultra modern facilities can sometimes be a little bit overwhelming however there are always friendly staff available to guide me and make me award of facilities available to me.

What are your favourite things about being a student in Aberdeen?

Multicultural. The size , not too big therefore easy to settle in and adapt  yet it's got everything you want in a major city. Meeting people of different nationalities and learning about their culture. The incredible support available for international students to help them adapt and study in RGU including VISA services, meet and greet services, student help point and friendly lecturers that are always happy to help.

Have you been involved in any clubs or societies while at RGU? If so tell us a little bit about it

I work as a pharmacy assistant in one of the local Asda community pharmacies , where I have gained invaluable skills for my chosen profession as well utilising the skills I have acquired in RGU within a clinical setting.

I have also been on hospital placement and community pharmacy placement which has facilitated my learning at RGU, whilst providing network opportunities with people that'll be helpful in my future career.

Do you have any advice for people who are considering study at RGU?

Go for it! Explore the opportunities Scotland has to offer!

What do you want to do when you complete your course?

I hope to complete my pre-Reg training and qualify as a pharmacist. RGU has ensured that I have developed the necessary skills needed for the job , and have become ready to transition from university to work life.
