Our flagship sustainability event is back for Climate Week North East 2026 with a dynamic programme of activities, talks, and exhibitions.
“Our Campus, Our World” will showcase RGU’s progress toward climate action, biodiversity, and sustainable innovation. Organised by our Sustainability Team, it invites students, staff, and the wider community to explore how the University is leading the way in environmental responsibility and climate resilience.
The day will include:
Sustainability Stalls
Hosted by several of our Schools and external partners, alongside our student group Go Green and a pop-up Kaim Shop.
Biodiversity Photo Competition
The winners of the 2026 Spring/Summer edition will be presented with their awards.

Talks
A series of 15-minute talks by a range of speakers.
Bike Reuse and Repair
Buy an affordable refurbished bike or donate your old bike to be reused and refurbished at Sir Ian Wood Building. You can also bring your bike along for a free check-up and minor repairs with Dr Bike. In partnership with Stella’s Voice, North East Cycle Hub and Tyred ‘N’ Cranky.
