People's Emergency Briefing Film Screening

The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

On 27 November 2025, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of more than 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media in Westminster.

The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy, and did so on the public record.

Its purpose was to demonstrate what a clear, evidence-led national emergency briefing could look like and why it is needed.

The 50-minute film, presented by Chris Packham, will combine authoritative scientific content from the Westminster event with reactions from members of the public and some more familiar faces – designed to help audiences process the information on a more human level. It will deliver the frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits if Government leads genuine emergency action.

Many of those attending previous screenings commented that although the facts are alarming, they felt a sense of optimism about confronting the challenge together and seeing a pathway to a better future.
