The Sustainability Group

The staff and student body overseeing the University’s commitment to deliver sustainability.

The Sustainability Group, formerly known as the Net Zero Project Board, oversees the University’s commitment to deliver sustainability.

It is dedicated to developing, implementing and monitoring actions to support the University’s Carbon Reduction Project Zero Plan, as well as introducing institutional plans that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and deliver on a strategic commitment to create a more sustainable future.

Furthermore, the Sustainability Group monitors and evaluates progress against KPIs and ensures effective and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to achieve our net zero targets and support the Energy Transition. The Sustainability Group promotes and embeds the University’s sustainability ambitions and reports to The Executive and Academic Development Committee.

Building User Groups

We are reforming our staff Building User Groups together with former members to be centred around sustainability themes, rather than buildings. The aim of these groups is to empower staff to contribute to the university’s sustainability efforts by forming collaborative, action-oriented groups aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
