Community Engagement

Make the most of volunteering through student representative roles, student societies and sports clubs, charities, mentoring, supporting local events and environmental initiatives.

Make a difference, build your future.

Overview

Engaging with your community demonstrates initiative, fosters self-confidence, and contributes meaningfully to the lives of others. Activities such as volunteering at food banks, mentoring fellow students, supporting local events, leading student societies, or volunteering on a sports programme not only strengthen community connections but also help you develop essential transferable skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

The Award in Community Engagement acknowledges the significance of these contributions, and supports you in reflecting on the insights gained and the skills acquired through your involvement.
