Our undergraduate Open Days are your opportunity to learn more about life at the Scottish University of the Year 2021 (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021). You will be able to speak with lecturers, student support services and current students and discover our outstanding facilities and campus.

We can’t wait to show you what’s on offer at one of our Open Days! Whether on campus or virtual, there’s lots to see and get involved with - get a taste of what being a student at RGU is really like.

Virtual Open Day

Join our Virtual Open Day, either as part of your preparations before our on-campus event or as an alternative to visiting us on campus.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Join live talks with our academics to find out all about the courses we have to offer
  • Explore our virtual exhibition to find out about the support available to you
  • Connect one-to-one with your prospective course leaders and our student support teams in our live chat
  • Chat with our current students to get a real insight into student life at RGU

On Campus Open Days

On Campus Open Days are BACK!

We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful riverside campus during one of our On Campus Open Days. Being on campus is the best way for you to explore your potential study environment, get a feel for the university and speak to course leaders, student support services and current students face to face! These events are your opportunity to:

  • Experience our state-of-the-art learning facilities
  • Take part in interactive workshops and taster classes to get an insight into what it’s like to study at RGU
  • Meet your prospective course leaders
  • Speak to our current students to hear first-hand about student life
  • Woolmanhill student accommodation will also be open for viewing

Travel support

If you meet our ‘wider access’ criteria and are travelling to one of our open days from out with Aberdeen City, you can claim up to 75% of your travel costs back from us. Check if you meet our criteria or contact

COVID-19 Guidance

As we continue to respond to the pandemic and prioritise the health and safety of our current students, staff and visitors, please note that our on-campus events are subject to the following measures:

  • Social Distancing - Please maintain a 1 metre social distance between other visitors, our current students and staff at all times
  • Face Coverings - In line with current guidance, everybody must wear a face covering when indoors (unless exempt)
  • Check-In - We ask that you ‘check in’ on the Test and Protect Scotland App to help trace contacts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be located throughout campus for your use
  • Please be aware, should restrictions for any reason be re-imposed that would jeopardise the safety of our visitors, staff and current students, that this event may be cancelled. The university accepts no responsibility to reimburse for accommodation or travel. In the event of a cancellation, the university will notify all registrations as soon as possible.
