RGU is located in Aberdeen, the Energy capital of Europe, the best place for Thai students who want to get into the energy sector, whatever their degree is. Moreover, we also have an outstanding tradition in the fields of health and social care, business and the creative industries, means our graduates are highly sought after in these sectors too. We work closely with employers – to offer courses that make our graduates particularly desirable to local, national and international companies and organisations.

Entry Requirements
Please note that this information is intended as a guideline and allows you to broadly compare your qualifications to the British qualifications specified on the course pages of this website. Some courses may require a higher standard of English than stated in this page. Applications are considered on an individual basis and other qualifications or work experience may be taken into consideration.
Undergraduate Requirements
- Applicants with qualifications from any international high school are expected to have results comparable to students from UK institutions
- Applicants with Certificate of Secondary Education / MAW 6 (equates to SQA Higher) - 60% /Fair/Grade Point 2
- Applicants with the Maw 5 or do not meet our entry requirement, will be considered for entry through our International College at Robert Gordon University
- Entry requirements for undergraduate courses are listed on the course information pages

- Applicants who do not hold an International High School qualification will be expected to undertake a pathway programme at our International College
English Language
Most undergraduate courses require an IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each area. Some courses require a higher English language score. Always check the relevant course page and our English Language Requirements page before applying.
Postgraduate Requirements
A grade of GPA 2.3 will be accepted from the following recognised universities:
- Chulalongkorn
- Thammasat
- Mahidol
- King Mongkut
4 year Bachelors Degree from a recognised university with a GPA of 2.5 or better will be considered for courses which require a 2.2 degree.
- A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent (please refer to the relevant course page)
- Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Contact Admissions for information: admissions@rgu.ac.uk
- Students who do not meet our direct entry requirements may be able to undertake a pre-masters programme through our International College at Robert Gordon University

Partnerships
Partnerships allow international students to start a degree with RGU from an equivalent entry point.
If your course is not listed, but your institution is a partner of Robert Gordon University, you may still be entitled to the scheme. Please contact admissions@rgu.ac.uk
We have mapped courses from our partner institutions into our 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of undergraduate study depending on their entry level, and graduate diploma level for students with a relevant graduate certificate. We also off an international partnership scholarship in recognition of our valued relationship with our partner institutions, that is automatically applied as a fee discount.
