Students from Qatar tell us they enjoy the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere of Aberdeen and find it easy to quickly consider the city a home away from home.

Aberdeen is also considered the Oil and Gas capital of Europe, and as such we have many energy related, industry led courses that offer students a professional advantage due to the equipment and technology the university holds.

We are delighted to welcome a growing number of students from Qatar to RGU, studying both on campus and through online learning courses.

Following a review in 2016, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) confirmed the quality of the student experience and the academic standard of awards at Robert Gordon University. This means that our degrees are awarded and recognised in the United Kingdom (UK). Furthermore, a number of our courses are also recognised and accredited by relevant professional bodies in the UK, further confirming the quality of our provision.

However, recognition outside the UK may vary. Therefore, applicants who plan to use Robert Gordon University qualification for employment or further study outside the UK, should check locally with their Ministry of Education or relevant bodies regarding the recognition of the qualification. Individual governments are responsible for updating their own state's approved lists. Robert Gordon University accepts no liability for any loss suffered as a consequence of inclusion, removal or changes to the University's status on government approved list.
