Supporting Sustainability in Creative Industries’ SMEs
Research Opportunities
Summary
This proposed PhD will seek to map where Scotland’s creative industries’ SMEs are in their sustainability journey, determine skills gaps and support needs, establish best practice examples, build a model for sustainable practice that is cognisant of Scotland’s rural and dispersed creative sector and recommend solutions and support going forward.
The project can capitalise on the work of the Augmented Fashion project (which has a focus on sustainability), and the associated cross-school collaboration by Josie Steed and Karen Cross, and builds on both Schools’ input to the Sustainability in the Creative and Cultural Industries symposium (delivered Oct 2021).
