Summary
This proposed research would explore the development of methodologies for the collection, curation and dissemination of community-based film and photographic archives. It will examine approaches to engaging with individuals and communities to gather materials, the curation of it online through digitisation and methods of crowdsourced cultural heritage storytelling can take place to deepen understanding of places, people, events and artefacts. A case-study approach, around North Scotland, would be adopted.
