Robert Gordon University (RGU) is furthering its commitment to supporting economic development across Scotland with the offer of over 1,000 fully funded places on 26 online upskilling short courses for a wide range of sectors.

From preparing for the energy transition to tackling health inequalities or mastering data science, as well as many other topics, the short courses have been designed to address national skills priorities and are tailored to suit the needs of individuals and businesses looking to upskill or reskill.

The fully funded places are available to people based in Scotland and are fully online, providing flexibility of studying while working or otherwise living a busy life.  The courses offer specialist skills development, an opportunity to expand professional networks, as well as providing the wider benefit of career advancement and new job opportunities.

Donella Beaton, Vice Principal for Economic Development at RGU, said: “The University is committed to the development of the people and thereby the economy of Scotland.

“The fully funded places across a wide range of our online upskilling courses are our latest offer to provide individuals and workforces with the opportunity to develop the skills needed for their future or to try something new.

Being able to fit these courses in and around other commitments means people can learn in a way that best suits them, helping them to boost their employability and develop knowledge in key areas such as leadership and programming, as well as sector specific upskilling in energy and health.”

The fully funded places are available on 26 of the University’s upskilling short courses. The courses run for up to 10 weeks, carry 15 academic credits, and will be available between April and July.  Course participants must be domiciled in Scotland to be eligible for a fee-waiver place.
