What Our Students Say

Shreya Dusane

Shreya Dusane

MArch Master of Architecture student from India.

What attracted you to your course at RGU?

The industry links that the university offers attracted me to RGU. Architecture being a hands-on profession, getting lectures from experts in the field increases our practical knowledge. They also provide excellent networking opportunities.

Before coming to RGU, what was your expectation of it - and how has the reality been?

I didn't know what to expect as it was very new to me. I was sceptical at first, as an international student, about getting adjusted to the teaching methods. However, the faculty and my peers were really supportive and helped me get along.

What's the best thing about being an RGU student?

The best thing about being an RGU student is its class schedule. Its design allows for students to get time to take part in extracurricular activities and have a balanced academic and social life.

Describe your favourite memory of RGU so far?

I have just joined RGU a month back so don't have any favourite memory yet. But hope to make some soon along the way.

Tell us about your most challenging/rewarding project/assignment/module. What did you like/ dislike about it and how has it helped you?

The research methods module is one of the most interesting modules that we have. Building up our research on topic of our interest and then creating a proposal is very stimulating.

What is your favourite way to spend your time when you are not studying? Why is that important to you?

When I am not studying, I like to read some good books or spend my time watching movies. Other than that, if it's a good day I like to take a stroll exploring around the city.

What would you say to someone considering studying at RGU? Any advice you would share?

I would advise to make full use of the facilities they offer, from RGU Sports to the wide collection in university library. Also attend the Career Fairs that are organised as those are excellent ways to make connections.

What do you enjoy most about living in Aberdeen (city, food, people, entertainment, travel, etc.)?

Aberdeen is a beautiful city with a vibrant social life. As there are two big universities in the city there are a lot of activities for students to do around here.

Did you join RGU via an Agent?

Yes.
