The TV Studio is an industry standard facility used by a number of subject areas across the University including media, journalism and extra-curricular societies such as RGU:TV – the University’s own student-run online TV channel.
The studio has all the equipment found in a professional TV Studio; LED lighting set, autocue system using ENPS, preview monitors, talkback system, green screen, camera tally lights and news desk giving you a fully immersive experience. Across the corridor you’ll find the TV Gallery (control room) which houses a fully functional news production system allowing you to produce, edit and organise the news broadcast. There are also lighting controls, a Tricaster vision mixer and audio controls so you can practice the full editing process.
The studio can transform into a photography studio with a lighting set, three paper rolls and a green screen. This function is often used by the BA (Hons) Fashion Management and MSc International Fashion Business courses & any other clubs or academic schools that require photography.
