Carceral Heritage Roadshow

Wednesday 27 May 2026 - Friday May 29 2026

Location: Peterhead Prison Museum and Museum of Edinburgh

Daisies

Join staff from Robert Gordon University and Edinburgh Napier University for two days of interactive engagement activities to explore how prison histories are interpreted in heritage settings.

Through a series of facilitated “stations”, visitors can respond to prompts and share reflections on what prison museums are for in contemporary society, and how stories of incarceration are told. Contribute to a conversation on what responsible prison museum interpretation might look like.
