Exploring Printmaking

This Art Weekender explores a range of different printmaking processes with a number of local artists and designers. This involves screen printing, textile printing, lino printing, mark making within jewellery and printing onto both clay and ceramics.

The Art Weekender took place Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July 2023.

This Art Weekender provides an opportunity to learn how to print directly onto both clay and ceramics. Throughout the duration of the weekend, you will be introduced to a variety of print techniques involving stencilling, stamping, relief printing, mono printing and screen printing. Additionally, you will learn how to transfer pre-printed images onto ceramics using decals.

Learn how to design, carve and print using your own unique lino printing blocks during a workshop with Juniper Press.

This two-day workshop invites participants to explore the interior of Gray’s School of Art with the aim to discover different textures and patterns that can later be translated onto metal. The intent being to create a piece of wearable art derived from different marks sourced throughout the art school.

This two-day workshop invites participants to play with print whilst being guided through the process of screen printing. Participants can expect to learn how to create and print their own designs in order to produce their own physical prints onto paper.

A weekend of textile printing throughout which participants will be guided through the screen-printing process. Participants are invited to create their own designs with the aim to transfer these onto fabric; creating a textile wall hanging that can be displayed in the home.
