Here at RGU we believe talented individuals should be encouraged and supported to achieve their ambitions, regardless of their background or economic circumstances.

As part of our continued commitment to widening access to Scottish students, we encourage applications from applicants living within a SIMD20 postcode. Eligible applicants may receive offers to study with us on slightly lower grades than advertised and will be able to apply for free accommodation.

The free accommodation offer is for eligible full-time undergraduate students that live out-with Aberdeen City, and is only available for standard single rooms in our Woolmanhill flats. Alternatively, we are also offering a discount on the following accommodation:

  • Woolmanhill Flats (En-Suite Room) – 25% discount
  • Woolmanhill Flats (Double Room) – 25% discount
  • Crathie Student Village, Garthdee Towers and Ramsay Development – 25% discount

Free accommodation will be offered over 37 weeks.

Care experience students are guaranteed 365 days of accommodation if required, should you wish to extend the standard lease of 37 weeks,  please contact access@rgu.ac.uk in the first instance to find out more.

RGU is also committed to supporting applicants who have been looked after, either in residential care, foster care, or kinship care, and we offer a 20% discount for all University accommodation for their first year of study.

Care experienced students will be able to apply for 52 week accommodation.

All offers are subject to availability.

Welcome Pack

In addition to free and discounted accommodation, we also offer:

  • Stationery Pack
  • Course material vouchers (only applicable to Gray's School of Art or Scotts Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment students)
