Katy Gifford

Katy Gifford
After completing a BA in Accounting, Katy qualified as a chartered accountant with a predecessor of KPMG in Glasgow.

Thereafter, she worked in a number of professional firms before coming to Aberdeen 30 years ago.

Since then she has worked in oil and gas with a number of private sector businesses, in the UK and internationally. These businesses have ranged from oil gas operators, through major service companies, consultancies and more recently in the SME sector where she was CEO of an innovation-led chemicals group.

Katy currently serves as a non-executive on the board of Clan Cancer Support and previously served as chairman of Aberdeen Foyer.

Away from work Katy can usually be found riding and caring for her horses or volunteering for Riding for the Disabled in Aberdeenshire.
