Outgoing Students

Outgoing Students - How to Apply

Get the application forms, deadlines and information you need to apply to Study Abroad as part of your RGU course.

I have access to CampusMoodle

Information about application methods and procedures can be found on CampusMoodle:

I do not have access to CampusMoodle

If you are a direct entry student, or do not have access to CampusMoodle for another reason, you can check out the destinations that may be available for your course. Not all destinations are available for each course.

You should then think about what you want to do and discuss it with your family and friends. We can also put you in touch with students who have recently been abroad and perhaps someone who is currently undertaking their study abroad period.

Applying

To apply, you will need to complete an online application form. At this stage, the application is an indication of interest only, you will not be committed to anything at this point.

Before you can access the application form, you will have to register on the right hand side of the portal - your RGU login details will not work!

You will have the opportunity to select up to 3 destinations – ensure that you list them in order of preference.

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to give you one of your preferred destinations as places are limited at each institution. In this instance, the written section of your application will be taken into account, so don't write "I will go anywhere" if you don't actually mean it!

This application form will also be your application for a Turing grant, however, funding is not guaranteed.

You will be asked to upload a budget breakdown with your application to show that you have considered the costs of studying abroad and that you can afford them. This can be in any format, but should includes costs such as flights, accommodation, living expenses, books, bills etc.  This is to assist you in assessing the costs associated with study abroad.

Once you have clicked “submit”, your application will automatically be sent to the Study Abroad Team – you will also be able to download a PDF copy of the form so that you have a record of what you have submitted. You should receive an automated email to confirm receipt - this will come from the software we use, MoveON, so check your junk mail. You can log back into the portal at any time to look over your application again.

After the deadline, your application will be forwarded to your School’s International Exchange Coordinator. This will be sent to you via your RGU email address.
