The laboratory is used for teaching and research projects, and offers services to sport related clients as well as delivering an established contract with the NHS for clinical gait analysis. Our Vicon 3d motion capture system accurately measures the way the human body moves and interacts with its environment; other equipment within the lab allows us to measure and evaluate respiratory function via breath by breath analysis, measure muscle performance and endurance and many other aspects of human performance.
The research facility will provide you with objective quantitative information on normal and pathological function, which you can apply to the improved evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and injury.
