What is your sport and position?

Athletics with a focus on throws including javelin, discus and shot putt.

What made you pick your sport?

I enjoyed trying to throw things far!

If you didn’t do your sport, what would you do and why?

I’d go back to rugby which I used to play before pursuing athletics.

Why did you choose to study at RGU?

I chose to study quantity surveying after seeing the ranking of RGU’s course in Scotland.

How do you think the sport scholar program will help you progress as a student athlete?

It will provide me with the opportunity to network with fellow athletes and gain from their experiences.

What is your greatest sporting achievement?

Coming fourth at the International Island Games.

Who is your sporting role model and why?

Johannes Vetter as he is very committed to training and throws the javelin far.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from your sport?

Hard work beats talent.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully graduated and starting the chartered process.

Favourite sporting memory?

Throwing a PB whilst maintaining third place at the home Island Games.
