Applied Sport and Exercise student and Taekwondo athlete.

What is your sport and position?

Taekwondo.

What made you pick your sport?

My friend did it when I was four years old and I wanted to go along with them.

If you didn’t do your sport, what would you do and why?

Golf or Football, I quit football to do Taekwondo for Scotland and still play golf for RGU.

Why did you choose to study at RGU?

The class size and facilities available.

How do you think the sport scholar program will help you progress as a student athlete?

It will help me balance study and competition while aiding development in my sport.

What is your greatest sporting achievement?

Winning European gold or world championship bronze.

Who is your sporting role model and why?

Katrina Carr, as my coach she influences my training and pushes me to be as successful as she was.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt from your sport?

Persistence and perseverance.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Finished my degree and hopefully working with an elite sports team.

Favourite sporting memory?

Winning my first international medal.
