Jack Milne
Sport Coaching student and Swimmer from Dundee, Scotland.
What is your sport and position?
Swimming - my favourite event is the 100m breaststroke.
What made you pick your sport?
Water safety and when I was in the pool, when I was younger, I felt like I could I could fly. I then got selected for the Scottish talent programme when I was 13.
If you didn’t do your sport, what would you do and why?
I would definitely still do a sport! I would maybe do athletics.
Why did you choose to study at RGU?
Aberdeen is a great city and RGU has great facilities and fantastic lecturers!
How do you think the sport scholar program will help you progress as a student athlete?
I hope we learn how to improve and support our physical and psychological health and learn more about myself as a person and athlete.
What is your greatest sporting achievement?
I am a two time British champion and I was a British representative on a world para international stage.
Who is your sporting role model and why?
Connor Morrison, as his swimming ability and class inspired me to swim like him. He inspired me because of his professionalism and his characteristics in and out of the pool.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt from your sport?
There will be ups and downs, it’s how you act and adapt and keep moving forward.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Graduated from university and working as a qualified S&C coach.
Favourite sporting memory?
Representing GB at the world para series leg in Berlin a sit was my first time representing GB.
