Animal Research

Concordat of Openness

The Concordat on Openness in Animal Research is a set of commitments for UK-based Life Science organisations to enhance their animal research communications.

The University has joined over 100 UK institutions in signing a Concordat on Openness on Animal Research, a commitment to transparency and enhancing communications with the wider community about animal research.

Since then, it has engaged in a sustained initiative to meet the commitments of the Concordat, which include being clear about when, how, and why we conduct animal research and providing opportunities for the public to find out about our work. To enable this, we take part in several activities, including school talks. If you would like to contact us to arrange an activity, or find out more about our work, please email AnimalResearch@rgu.ac.uk.
