Top Tips for Applying Late

1. Don’t panic, we’re here to help

Firstly, don’t worry if you are applying late, we will still consider applications after the equal consideration deadline. There are still many options available to you so make sure you use the resources we have on offer to help you decide on your next steps.

2. Do your research

If you are still to decide what is the right course for you, it might be helpful to explore our campus and meet team RGU at a Campus Visit.

3. Fill out your application

Once you have chosen a course, you will need to register with UCAS if you do not have an account already and fill out your application.

4. Get advice on your personal statement 

A key aspect of your UCAS application is your personal statement. This is your chance to demonstrate why you want to enrol on a particular course and showcase the skills, attributes and experiences that will make you a good fit for the course you are applying for. 5. Keep up-to-date

Once you have submitted your application, check your UCAS Hub regularly for updates. Once you have received an offer, you will have a certain amount of time to respond and if you do not respond in time, your place will automatically be declined.

6. Secure your funding

Ensure you apply to Student Awards Agency Scotland by 30 June 2024 to ensure you have secured your funding in time for your course start date. You can still apply for student finance without having an offer.

7. Join us at a Discovery Day event

Attend one of our Discovery Days to explore our campus, meet staff and students, visit accommodation and get excited about your next chapter at RGU.

8. Explore your accommodation options

If you require accommodation, start exploring your options and get in touch with our accommodation team to discuss what might be suitable for your living needs.

9. Check your inbox regularly

Keep checking your emails for any updates and information about enrolling on your course.

10. Get ready to have the time of your life
