This event brings together colleagues from across the university to share teaching and learning-related practice and research in support of a high-quality student experience at RGU.
This year’s theme connects with the strategic ambitions of RGU’s Roadmap to 2030 and the QAA Scottish Tertiary Enhancement Programme’s focus on Supporting Diverse Learner Journeys.
The programme features a diverse range of presentations, workshops and lightning talks related to the conference tracks.
- Work-integrated learning: e.g. work-based learning; employability; skills development.
- Research-informed teaching: e.g. research-led teaching; research-based learning; teaching and research linkages.
- Inclusive learning: e.g. inclusive curriculum design, delivery, assessment, student support and/or engagement.
- Future-focused education: e.g. Education for Sustainable Development; Gen AI; interdisciplinary learning; collaborative provision.

Professor Annie Hughes
We're excited to welcome Professor Annie Hughes, Head of Learning and Teaching Enhancement, Kingston University as our keynote speaker. Annie leads on academic staff development, curriculum development and enhancement and technology enhanced learning. She is dedicated to inclusive education and has recently led projects funded by the Quality Assurance Agency, Advance HE and the University Alliance. Her disciplinary background is in Geography where she continues to influence debates around the pedagogics of fieldwork. Her recent work, funded by the QAA, brought together 11 UK universities to explore the opportunities AI offers to higher education and the graduates of the future. Annie's keynote will share insights from the project and invite us to think about how HE must evolve to meet tomorrow's needs.
