RGU Pride: Coming Out Workshop

Share your coming out story or learn how you can start to navigate this journey from other members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The workshop will be run as a guided discussion on the how’s and why’s of coming out, and ways to respond to someone coming out.
Staff and students will have the opportunity to share deep, meaningful discussions about their experience: what worked for them, what didn’t, and how it changed their relationships. All group discussions will be facilitated by RGU staff and student volunteers.
Coming out is an important part of the journey for many queer people as it is often among the first steps taken towards living as their authentic self. However, many individuals do not know how to approach this topic, whether they are the ones coming out or had someone they know come out to them. The workshop provides a safe space to talk and ask questions to help reduce the taboo.
