- enabling and supporting innovation in learning, teaching, and assessment
- serving as a focal point for the coordination and implementation of institutional teaching, learning and assessment enhancement projects in partnership with RGU’s community
- supporting excellence in digital learning and the development of staff and student digital skills

Our Teams
DELTA comprises four teams: Academic Development, Content and Media, Curriculum Enhancement, and Digital Learning.
Academic Development
The Academic Development Team work with academic and professional services staff across RGU to support effective teaching and learning by enabling colleagues to develop educational practice, share their knowledge and insights, and to achieve professional recognition. The team offer training for new staff to fulfil probationary and progression requirements; credit-rated and experiential staff development which enables colleagues to achieve UK Professional Standards Framework recognition; continuing professional development for all colleagues in support of institutional priorities; bespoke staff development to support School enhancement plans; support for curriculum design, development and innovation; and professional development & events for colleagues interested in pedagogic research and scholarship.
Content and Media Team
The Content and Media team deliver a broad range of staff support services to assist course delivery and enhancement. This includes resourcing the development of audio, video and online learning materials and short courses and providing guidance on instructional design.
Curriculum Enhancement team
The Curriculum Enhancement team supports the ongoing enhancement of RGU’s distinctive approach to learning and teaching with an emphasis on enabling high-quality course leadership, delivery, and management. The team offer advice and guidance to colleagues on the design and development of new & revised courses; support the adoption and implementation of institutional enhancement initiatives; and provide professional development opportunities and events for RGU’s Course Leader community.
Digital Learning Team
The Digital Learning Team are responsible for supporting effective digital learning across the university by providing staff and student support. The team is responsible for the management and enhancement of the university’s VLE, CampusMoodle; supporting the effective use of the VLE and associated educational technologies; supporting the development of staff and student digital skills; and the co-ordination of institutional enhancement projects related to Digital Learning.
