2024 stage four Events Management students

CCB students prepare for event season

By Lewis Walker - 13 March 2024

Events management students at Robert Gordon University have a long and successful history of raising thousands of pounds for charities across the North East and this year plans to be no different with multiple events on the horizon.

Students across different stages of the BA (hons) Events Management degree have already began working on various initiatives and fundraising activities to prepare them for their final events which will be dauntingly open to the judgement of their peers and general public.

Stage three students have committed to taking on the Aberdeen Student Festival, now an annual event in the city which brings communities together for the greater good. This year they’ll be raising money for Belmont Community Cinema while gaining vital experience in their future world of work.

Final year students, in stage four, are well on their way and looking ahead to their apex having split into teams to organise four separate events between their cohort. While the main spectacle is still to come, they’ve all began raising money in different ways for causes close to their hearts – including a 26-mile walk.

Here, we look at what these budding final year event professionals have planned for the North East community...

Archie’s Teddy Bear Picnic

A day filled with a variety of activities for children between the ages of 4-11. The day will include storytelling, treasure hunts, arts and crafts and much more. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and play with everyone’s favourite teddies during the unique picnic experience, where food will be provided. The picnic will be taking place at Ardoe House Hotel and Spa on the Sunday 7 April 2024, from 11:00 - 15:00.
