Common questions
What do I need for swimming?
All members should come prepared to their swimming lessons with the correct swim wear, a pair of goggles, flip flops and plastic water bottle if required.
How does the direct debit work? And why is it paid over the holidays?
Payments are spread over 52 weeks to keep the monthly payment as low as possible. This also results in your child’s spot in the programme being secure for the full year.
At what age can a child join the Learn to Swim Programme?
You can enroll your child from the age of 3 onto our Learn to Swim programme, this may be straight into a class or onto the waiting list.
Am I (parent/guardian) required to be in the water for pre-school lessons and do I need to stay during lessons?
No support is required from parent/guardian's in the water for any age group, we may ask for support in other ways to help your child progress through their journey if needed. Please remain on the premises while your child is in their lesson if they are under the age of 8. Any parent/guardian that attends swimming lessons with their child must be 16 years of age or older.
How do I register for the home portal?
You may access the home portal through our Leisure Hub site. If you require any information to sign up, our reception staff will be more than happy to help.
When will my child be ready for the next level?
Each child develops at their own pace and swimming teachers will advise when your child is ready to move levels. You can monitor your child's progress via the Home Portal.
What will my child receive once they have completed a level?
When your child has completed their current swimming level, they will be handed a printed certificate at their next class.
