YES! We're back! An exciting new opportunity to expand the minds and practical skills of young artists.

Our EXTRA Young Artist workshop options this summer will be delivered over two 4 day schools - you are welcome to attend both weeks if you wish. Each age group 8-10, 11-13 and 14-16 will be given their own twist on the day’s creative task.

These exciting new workshops will cover the following themes:

Option one:

  • Drawing
  • Sculpture
  • Painting

Option two:

  • Drawing
  • Printmaking
  • Ceramics

You will be supported by two experienced professional Gray's School of Art members of staff. Two individual and one group project will be created each day.

We have designed these workshops so that you can attend both weeks if you wish and parents can attend their own 4 day school at Gray's at the same time. To help with this, you can be dropped off prior to class from 9.30am and picked up at 4.30pm.

Refreshments: Lunch, morning and afternoon snack are provided.

Why choose a Young Artists Workshop supported by Gray's School of Art? Our staff have a wealth of experience and will guide you to:

  • Learn new and exciting arts and crafts techniques
  • Make a group and individual project
  • Experiment with a range of different materials
  • Look at the work of artists past and present
  • Connect and develop personal expression, interests and ability
  • Explore traditional and contemporary principals of art practice in fun and supportive workshops

Please note: these classes take place in the Sir Ian Wood Building, (not the Gray's School of Art Building).  Parents/guardians of young artists must be present initially in order to complete our health and safety induction documents.

Please dress in clothes you can get messy in. We recommend you bring a light snack and drink.

We'll provide all the materials required.
