ROV Pool

The Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Pool is primarily used for testing for both research projects and training for businesses.

The ROV Pool is a 3 metre deep test tank and is used for underwater robotics and subsea projects.

The Pool allows you to get a hands-on experience in an industry-standard facility to prepare you for your professional future.

The test tank is also utilised by businesses and secondary school underwater robot clubs, hosting the annual MATE (Marine Advanced Technology Education) ROV competition. The competition allows schools around the North-East to put underwater robots they have built and designed to the test and compete against each other.
