Engineering Applications Labs

Our purpose-built Engineering Applications Labs are mainly utilised for practical work in your first and second years of studying and can be found in the Sir Ian Wood Building.

The machining within the laboratory include lathes, a milling machine and a 3D printer that uses a rapid prototyping technique.

Additionally, you can build electronic components including soldering and populating circuit boards.

There is fabrication apparatuses with drilling and metal bending machines.

You’ll also have the opportunity to handle a Ford Focus strip and build.
