A Visual Asset Management Tool for Construction and Infrastructure industries
Abstract
The project is a collaboration between Return to Scene, a market leading company within Visual Asset Management (VAM) supporting the Oil and Gas sector globally, and Scott Sutherland School, with expertise and extensive internationally recognised track record on project and collaboration management with high-end technological solutions.
The shifting horizons in construction, infrastructure and energy industries are bringing forward a demand for more efficient and effective collaborations for ensuring projects’ success. In order to take the business to the next level and for the continuing growth, the company is now capitalising on this demand by making a strategic expansion into the Construction and Infrastructure market and by collaborating with Scott Sutherland School for Research & Development.
The project is developing a state of the art technology and solution product for the Construction and Infrastructure industries while bridging the gap between academic research and industry. The outcome of the project will provide the Construction and Infrastructure sectors with a proven software solution which can be used to easily and accurately share, utilise and manage their BIM data. The software and its flexibility with regards data input will make it ideal, not only for new builds, where good data often already exists, but also for existing infrastructure, of any age.
