A Galway student who returned to higher education to develop his skillset has been recognised for his academic achievements.
Michael Coyne (36) received the class prize for the MSc IT Management course at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen at a special prizegiving ceremony held by the university’s School of Computing Science and Digital Media this week.
He said: “I’m really pleased that I won the class prize as it has been a busy two years between work and study commitments.
“The course modules were a good fit for the skills I wished to build on and I’ve found my time at RGU very good. The staff are very easy to communicate and deal with.”
Michael, who focused on how perceptions of security in cloud computing can affect adoption in an organisation in his Masters project, said that he now hopes to put his additional qualification to good use in his professional life.
